The Ultimate Cargo Bike Trailer

The Ultimate Cargo Bike Trailer

This was one of our first products to be released to the market. It really is the ultimate cargo trailer for bicycles because it actually doesn't hold you back as other trailers would. It has its own power system. It is designed to just trail behind the bike putting no other load on the bike except tongue weight. It has a piece on the hitch that swivels that actually controls the trailer. When the bike speeds up the hitch extends commanding power to the motors and when the the bike slows down the hitch retracts commanding the motors to use regenerative braking to slow down the trailer in turn putting little to no extra stress on the bike or the rider. The trailer features an optional removeable top and optional children's seat. The top is made of weather proof canvas. It features a clear plastic front and rear that has the ability to be rolled up with mesh underneath for good air flow. The front and rear can be opened quickly for easy access. The children's seat has the ability to hold up to 3 kids with each kid having full 5 point harnesses. The seat is easily removable to provide more room for cargo.

The power system consists of a dual direct drive motors and 2-52 volt 25.6 amp hour batteries totaling over 2700 watt hours of total compacity. The range on the trailer will outlast almost any bike with it being able to go over 100 miles on a charge. It also sports 2 LED whip lights the power up as soon as the trailer gets turned on keeping you safe on the roadways.

The E-Cargo 200 XL frame is constructed of durable aluminum sheet metal and stainless steel tubing and everything is coated with a durable powder coated finish that will last for many years. Its also has a e-brake to hold the trailer in place when load stuff to keep the bike from tipping over. Included is a 2 year 5000 mile warranty with the motors being covered for 3 years.

A lot of time was spent to keep this product safe. The hitch part that controls the trailer contains 2 sensors for redundancy. If one sensor happens to fail or get out of sync with the other one the trailer automatically will brake the motors causing it to stop. Also for safety purposes there is a tether wire connected to the hitch on the bike and if the trailer would ever come loose from the bike the tether would come loose also causing the trailer to brake its self coming to a stop. The trailer also implements a safe-start which doesn't power the motors until the trailer starts moving which also keeps the trailer from pushing you before you are ready. All in all if you want to be able to do more with your bike the Rocklin E-Cargo 200 XL would be a great option
